Jon Stewart just won his 23rd Emmy on Sunday night, and his first nearly a decade as part of the team on "The Daily Show." Has the success of his once-a-week return inspired him to perhaps extend his stay with the show?

Stewart hosted the Comedy Central series starting in 1999. When he left, Trevor Noah took the the helm and led the show until the end of 2022, after which “The Daily Show” had a series of guest hosts, including Jersey’s own Kal Penn. When the show won the 2023 Emmy for outstanding talk series in January, Noah and the cast accepted the award.
