Iranian hackers are targeting LinkedIn users with enticing job offers intended to trick them into running Windows-based malware, according to security researchers. The hackers pose as fake recruiters on LinkedIn and send "dream job" offers to prospective targets.

Iranian state-sponsored hackers have been observed targeting victims in the aerospace industry with fake job offers, which resulted in the deployment of the SnailResin malware, as part of their cyber-espionage campaign. The campaign, dubbed “Dream Job” started in September 2023, if not earlier, ClearSky noted.
