Although Tuesday will bring drier conditions across Central Florida, the FOX 35 Storm Team is continuing to monitor Hurricane Erin, which is expected to bring dangerously rough surf and life-threatening rip currents through mid-week.
Afternoon showers and storms will arrive again this afternoon. Hurricane Erin continue to pull north well off the east coast of Florida.

Hot and humid with a chance of scattered thunderstorms during the afternoon and early evening hours. The beaches will continue to see life-threatening and dangerous rip currents from Hurricane Erin, which re-strengthened into a dangerous Category 4 storm out in the Atlantic.
Southwest, western Florida: temperatures trending back closer to normal as rain chances increase. Temps in the mid 90s, with heat index between 100 and 107. There is some potential for rain over the weekend and into the first full week of August, according to the National Weather Service.
Increased rain chances and cloud cover across the state will help keep conditions slightly “cooler” than some of the last few weeks.
