Rory McIlroy makes his 2025 FedEx Cup Playoffs debut this week at the BMW Championship -- a week later than everyone else in the field. The world No. 2 returns for his first competitive outing since The Open (hosted in his home country of Northern Ireland), playing in the United States for the first time in two months.

Scheffler is currently leading the FedEx Standings after the St. Jude Championship. Here is how the standings look before the BMW Championship that begins on August 14.

Scheffler, the FedEx Cup points leader, used a final-round 67 to finish in a tie for third with Fleetwood at 15-under. Fleetwood once again missed out on his first PGA Tour title. A bogey on the 17th hole cost him a spot alongside Rose and Spaun in the playoff.
