Colorado investigators say an Aurora dentist accused of killing his wife with poisoned milkshakes also attempted to have a detective investigating the case murdered. KUSA's Kevin Vaughan reports.

A dentist accused of killing his wife by poisoning her protein shakes has been charged with trying to get a fellow jail inmate to kill a detective investigating the murder case. Prosecutors filed two new charges against James Craig last week — solicitation to commit murder as well as solicitation to commit perjury.

The Colorado dentist suspected of poisoning his wife in order to start 'a new life' with a Texas-based orthodontist also has been accused of attempting to get a fellow inmate to kill a detective who investigated his wife's death.

Colorado dentist James Craig, whose attorney withdrew just one day before his trial, was previously accused of attempting to plant evidence to fabricate a suicide scenario for his wife and of hiring women to falsely claim they had affairs with him.
