BitGo to unveil its reward-earning USDS stablecoin in Q1 of 2025
Mike Belshe, BitGo's CEO, announced during the Token2049 conference in Singapore that BitGo was planning to launch a stablecoin dubbed “USDS” during Q1 of 2025. BitGo referred to the USDS as the first ‘open-participation’ stablecoin that would redefine financial freedom.

BitGo introduced on Sept. 18 the USD Standard (USDS) a new 1:1 USD-backed stablecoin designed to transform the digital asset landscape, which will be launched on January 2025. The announcement highlighted that USDS aims to challenge the dominance of single issuers like Circle and Tether by prioritizing fairness, transparency, and market neutrality.
