A bunch of classic Sega titles will leave Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch in early December, but not if you already own them.

Sega is delisting over 60 games across console and PC digital storefronts next month. The company reassured players that those who already owned the retro games will still be able to download and play them after they’ve been delisted,

Sega delisted over 60 classic games for modern devices. It posted an FAQ detailing which platforms lose which games next month, including popular titles like Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Golden Axe, and Altered Beast. Virtua Fighter may soon be punching its way back into the public eye.

If you already own them, nothing will happen to your games.

Sega are delisting a bunch of their 'classic' games from Steam - over 60 will stop being available to purchase on December 6th.

Sega is set to delist a huge swathe of its classic back catalog games from digital storefronts in December, including the Sega Genesis Classics collection and several much-loved games from the Dreamcast era. According to a FAQ on the Sega support website, the games will become unavailable for purchase just before midnight PST on Dec. 6.

Usually, when retro games like this get removed from sale, it means either a license is expiring or a new compilation is coming. Considering SEGA is planning new versions of classics like Jet Set Radio, Golden Axe, and Virtua Fighter, we’re expecting it to make the originals available in some form.

Sega fans may want to check out and purchase various Sega games on different platforms before they are eventually delisted.
