Power restored to about 9,000 New Orleans residents after outage ahead of Hurricane Francine
Power has been restored to thousands of New Orleans residents Tuesday night following a large outage a day before Hurricane Francine's forecasted landfall. Entergy's outage map showed a large area of New Orleans without power as of 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, including parts of Bywater, Marigny and the Seventh Ward.

Hurricane Francine knocked out power to nearly 400,000 people at its peak following landfall on Wednesday in Louisiana. Power restoration efforts continue Friday across the state. According to Entergy Louisiana, 104,000 customers remain without power.
