While it is not illegal to sale Nazi memorabilia in the UK, sales of such items have been controversial. McTear's Auction House has defended the decision saying the items are "historical artefacts".
This would have been owned by a senior Nazi officer. It is silver plated and the marks are III FL 157. This was found in the house of an uncle who fought in the war and then married a German woman.
