Disturbance could move into the Gulf of Mexico next week, hurricane forecasters say
Hurricane forecasters are monitoring a tropical disturbance expected to move to the Gulf of Mexico and a new system in the Atlantic Ocean alongside remnants of Tropical Storm Gordon, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami.
Potential disturbance in the Caribbean to move into the Gulf of Mexico: NHC
A tropical depression is possible as it gradually develops over the northwestern Caribbean Sea moving into the southeastern Gulf of Mexico through next week. A chance of development in the next seven days is 40%. In the central tropical Atlantic, the remains of Gordon is expected to interact with another area of low pressure in the next few days.
