On Wednesday night, the San Antonio Spurs beat the Washington Wizards, 139-130. Victor Wembanyama 's historic 50-point outing in only 26 minutes was by far the biggest story of the game. The 20-year-old sophomore made eight threes and added three blocks on the defensive side to complement his elite scoring.

The rally was enough to make the game close enough that Spurs fill-in head coach Mitch Johnson brought Wembanyama back into the game. It wasn’t enough to squeak out the win, however. Johnson is filling in for long-time Spurs coach Gregg Popovich,
