Thousands of patient care and service workers at UC San Diego Medical Center and other University of California campuses across the state were back on the picket lines Thursday as they continued a two-day strike alleging unfair bargaining tactics,

Service workers, including medical technicians, therapists, billers, custodians and food service, laundry and security workers, plan to strike today and Thursday, forming picket lines on University of California campuses statewide, including outside UC San Diego Jacobs Medical Center in La Jolla.

Thousands of patient care and service workers at UCLA, UC Irvine and other University of California campuses across the state began a two-day strike Wednesday, alleging unfair bargaining tactics, allegations the UC system denies.
