A teenager is facing murder charges in the deadly shooting of a woman who was defending her family last week in Chinatown.

Police arrested a 16-year-old boy for allegedly shooting to death a woman who was trying to stop her husband from getting robbed in a Lower Manhattan apartment building last week. Law enforcement sources said police are withholding the brutal killer’s name due to his age.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested Thursday on murder and other charges in the fatal shooting of a mother who police said died protecting her husband and son during a robbery at their condo in Chinatown earlier this month.

The captured teen was also charged with murder, burglary, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon in the shooting death of 57-year-old home health aide Ying Zhu Liu, police said.
