Following the devastating floods in Texas, Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha said that as of 5:30 p.m. local time on July 5, the death toll in Kerr County is 43, including 28 adults and 15 children. CNN previously reported that the flooded region experienced 'more than an entire summer's worth of rain' in a matter of hours.

Kerrville police said they worked overnight and are continuing rescue efforts Saturday after catastrophic floods came through the area on Friday.

Extreme flooding has left at least 32 dead in Kerr County. Some two dozen kids are missing from Camp Mystic, a Christian girls camp.
