Das expressed outrage over the alleged discovery of animal fat in ghee used to prepare ‘prasad’ (laddoos) of Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in AP’s Tirupati temple.

According to the sources, laddus weighing around three tonnes had been sent to Ayodhya by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), which managed the affairs of Sri Venkateswara Swami Temple popularly known as Tirupati Temple.

Amid ongoing row over Tirupati laddus, Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, has reportedly confirmed that the ‘prasad’ from Tirupati Temple was distributed to devotees during the consecration ceremony.

Acharya Satyendra Das expressed anger over the incident stating, “If animal fat was mixed in the 'prasad', it is unforgivable. Strict action should be taken against those involved in it”
