The power of the US military will be sharply on display this weekend – on two different coasts and in two very different ways.

Protestors are taking place in Florida, nationwide on June 14 to object President Trump's alleged birthday plans to celebrate with a military parade.

The screening checkpoint for the 250th birthday parade will open at 2:00 p.m. EDT at 14th Street between Independence and Constitution Avenues, and C Street NW between 18th and 19th Street.

Context: Trump proposed a military parade on his 79th birthday and the U.S. Army's 250th anniversary as a show of U.S. military might. The Army predicts it will spend $25 to $45 million on the plan, an estimate that doesn't include Secret Service or law enforcement.
