The Pittsburgh Pirates acquired 30-year-old righty reliever Peter Strzelecki from the Cleveland Guardians on Friday night in exchange for cash considerations. Strzelecki spent 10 games with the Guardians last year,

Friday marked the deadline to tender contracts to necessary players, and the Pittsburgh Pirates non-tendered three players.

Along with acquiring Strzelecki, the Pirates tendered contracts to multiple players. Among them were Ji-Hwan Bae, Joey Bart, David Bednar, Oneil Cruz, Henry Davis, Jared Jones, Endy Rodriguez, Paul Skenes, Jack Suwinski, and others.

The Pirates acquired reliever Peter Strzelecki from the Guardians for cash, the team announced. Cleveland had designated the righty for assignment on Tuesday when they set their 40-man roster in advance of the Rule 5 draft.
