The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has temporarily blocked a federal judge’s order that directed President Donald Trump to return control of National Guard troops to California after he deployed them there following protests in Los Angeles over immigration raids.
Judge Charles Breyer ordered the administration to return control of the National Guard to the California governor, but an appeals court stayed the extraordinary decision Thursday night.
"Texas National Guard will be deployed to locations across the state to ensure peace & order," said Texas governor Greg Abbott.
