Bond was denied Tuesday afternoon for a man accused of shooting and killing a 7-year-old girl in Maxton over the weekend. Dedric Page, 31, of Maxton, was not given bond on his first-degree murder or discharging a weapon into occupied property charges.

Maxton police have identified a 7-year-old girl who was shot and killed Sunday afternoon while riding in a car with several other people. Quazariya G. Williams died at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg after police said Dedric Page,

The man alleged to have shot the child is 31-year-old Dedric Page, who police said fired shots into a car with five other people inside around 2 p.m. Sunday in Maxton. The condition of the other five people in the car is currently unknown.
