Indian firm Adani Group has issued a statement over reports of hurried approval of the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) deal. In a statement on Wednesday, September 18, the company has noted that the information is false urging media houses to remain factual.

Adani Enterprises Limited has denied reports that its proposal for the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) takeover was cleared in 17 days. The company explained that what was cleared in 17 days by the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) was the feasibility study proposal.

In documents filed in court, the Indian conglomerate said its privately initiated proposal (PIP) was sent to the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) on March 1, 2024 and approved on March 28, 2024, allowing the firm to proceed with a feasibility study.
