Amy St. Pe’ won an open seat on the Mississippi Court of Appeals on Tuesday, wrapping up one of two runoffs in judicial races between candidates who advanced from the Nov. 5

A runoff election in the state Supreme Court in Mississippi race is too close to call, with State Sen. Jenifer Branning and Justice Jim Kitchens neck and neck as of Wednesday morning.

Mississippi voters will decide winners for one seat on the state Supreme Court and one on the state Court of Appeals.

Solis, File)By  ROBERT YOON WASHINGTON (AP) — Voters in central Mississippi and the state’s Delta and Gulf Coast areas will return to the polls Tuesday to resolve two judicial races in which no candidate received the vote majority needed in the Nov.

Pascagoula attorney Amy St. Pé defeated Chancery Judge Jennifer Schloegel of Gulfport in her bid to secure a seat on the Mississippi Court of Appeals. The Associated Press declated St. Pé the winner once 94% of votes were counted.
