NEW YORK (Reuters) -A gauge of global stocks fell for a second straight session on Wednesday and longer-dated U.S. Treasury yields rose in choppy trading as investors assessed the latest U.S. inflation data and the path of interest rates from the Federal Reserve.

Stock futures were lower prior to the data. Aggressive buying came into stocks after the data. Buying is aggressive in Trump linked stocks such as Tesla Inc TSLA. Bitcoin was pulling back before CPI was released. Aggressive buying came in after the release of the data.

LONDON/TOKYO (Reuters) -World stocks dropped for a second successive day on Wednesday, jolted by another push higher in U.S. Treasury yields ahead of inflation data that could inform the pace of Federal Reserve policy easing.

Ahead of the opening bell, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said the Producer Price Index (PPI), which measures what businesses are paying subscribers for goods, increased 0.2% month over month in October. Year over year, the headline PPI was up 2.4% – the quickest pace since July.

WASHINGTON - US stocks fell on Nov 14, as traders digested an uptick in inflation and comments from Fed chairman Jerome Powell, which had the effect of cooling expectations of a December rate cut. Consumer and producer inflation data published this week point to a small rise in the rate of price increases, complicating the Fed’s rate-cutting plans.

U.S. stock futures cut losses, while the dollar retreated on Wednesday, after data showed U.S. inflation continued to slow as expected last month, helping firm up traders' conviction that the Federal Reserve may cut rates again in December.
