Notre Dame's Hannah Hidalgo played only one game last week, but it made enough of an impact for every women's basketball fan to notice her. While she was known already, she reminded everyone of her existence anyway.

These women's basketball players posted big-time performances and were named to the NCAA.com starting five this week.

Hannah Hidalgo is The Associated Press women's basketball player of the week. She lifted Notre Dame to a road win over then-No. 3 USC on Saturday.

On Saturday, on the road against No. 3 USC in Los Angeles, Hidalgo and Miles were the best two players on the court as the Irish won 74-61. Hidalgo piled up 24 points, eight rebounds, six assists and five steals, while Miles stuffed the stat sheet with 20 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and three steals.

For the third time in as many weeks to begin the 2024-25 season, the ACC Player of the Week hails from Notre Dame. And for the second consecutive week, it’s Fighting Irish sophomore guard Hannah Hidalgo.

Hannah Hidalgo and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish have taken women's basketball by storm this season, dominating the NCAA rankings and leaving opponents in their wake.

The South Jersey-born star piled up ‪24 points, eight assists, six rebounds, and five steals to lead the Fighting Irish to a 74-61 win in the nationally televised showcase game.

Hannah Hidalgo's backcourt mate, Olivia Miles, added 20 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for the Fighting Irish.
