A farmworker who fell from a greenhouse roof during a chaotic ICE raid this week at a California cannabis facility died Saturday of his injuries. Jaime Alanis, 57, is the first person to die in one of the Trump administration’s anti-immigration operations.

Concerned family members are desperate for answers after they say a disabled U.S. veteran and citizen was taken during a federal immigration raid at a cannabis farm in Southern California.

The FBI has issued a reward for information about a person who appeared to open fire at an immigration enforcement operation in rural Ventura County. The federal operation at Glass House Farms near Camarillo drew dozens of protesters who clashed with federal agents on a road surrounded by farm fields and greenhouses northwest of Los Angeles.

Some of the demonstrators exposed to the gas used to disperse the crowds were taken by Oxnard Fire Department ambulances to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard. They were decontaminated of the chemical agents outside the emergency room, then treated inside.
