The Powerball jackpot is rapidly growing, and could grow into one of the largest jackpots in history if a winner doesn’t emerge in the next drawing or two.

Newly released video captured the moment that a Powerball winner got tackled and tased by Florida police after kicking a deputy in the head.

One lucky ticket, which won a $36 million jackpot in August of 2023, expired before it was claimed. Two of the lottery jackpots won in Florida were Mega Millions and one was a Powerball jackpot.

The jackpot may be advertised at an estimated $643 million, but you'll take home far less if you're lucky enough to win.

A ticket sold at the Publix on Biscayne Boulevard in Miami Shores, Florida matched all six balls in Monday's Powerball drawing to win the $214.9 million jackpot, according to the lottery website.

The lucky ticket was sold at a Publix grocery store on Curry Ford Road in Orlando. The player opted for Quick Pick, meaning a lottery machine randomly chose at least some of their ticket numbers, the Florida Lottery wrote on its website and in a news release.

A lottery player’s trip to a Circle K gas station turned into a $100,000 prize in Florida. The winner, who had not come forward as of Aug. 19, won the top prize in the Aug. 18 Fantasy 5 evening drawing, according to Florida Lottery records. They bought their ticket at a Circle K convenience store in Pensacola, results show.
