91-year-old Ong Kim Hwa participated in the 10km Men's Senior Veteran category of the Petaling Jaya Half Marathon on Aug. 17.

In the Boston Marathon, held on Oct. 11, 263 people did not finish out of the 15,734 who ran. The New York City Marathon had 25,390 entrants on Nov. 7, and 380 failed to finish.

To finish a race, you need to do 100 percent of the race on your own power. I’m not saying if a runner is distressed you should ignore him or her.
