Police in Cobb County arrested a man who is accused of killing his mother after she was found dead during a welfare check Monday. They said 28-year-old Daniel Sarris, of Kennesaw, is charged with aggravated assault and murder in connection to his mother’s death.

Police found the body of 67-year-old Melanie Sarris inside. After questioning her son, detectives have now charged 28-year-old Daniel Sarris with aggravated assault and murder, but their investigation continues.
