International lawyers for the Democratic Republic of Congo welcomed Apple's decision to stop sourcing minerals from there due to worsening conflict, but said they would press ahead with their cases against the company in Europe.

Lawyers for the country allege that the tin, tantalum and tungsten is taken from conflict areas and then laundered through international supply chains.

The Congolese government has filed a criminal complaint against Apple. It accuses the tech company of using so-called conflict minerals.
