Shaq Thompson Signs With Buffalo To Return To Roots With Bills Coach
When fully healthy, linebacker Shaq Thompson was considered one of the better off-ball linebackers in the NFC for the Carolina Panthers. Originally a first-round pick from the 2015 NFL Draft, Thompson found great success early in his career playing with future Hall-of-Famer Luke Kuechly and Thomas Davis.

Thompson, who was not brought back by the Panthers for an 11th season, officially signed with the Buffalo Bills on Monday. The 31-year-old veteran spoke with reporters shortly following the announcement, and explained how he found himself in Orchard Park, N.Y.
The veteran linebacker joined the Bills Tuesday, reconnecting with his old defensive coach in Carolina, Sean McDermott.
No team in the league allowed more scores through the air than the Carolina Panthers this past season. The secondary could use another experienced performer.
