Shan Masood spoke about the status of Babar Azam's position in the Test team, and backed the batter to come good again after a break.

Speaking on the same, red-ball captain Shan Masood stated that he is in no position to say anything about Babar’s future. He stated that the 30-year-old is one of the best batters in the world and added that the he needs a break from the format.

Masood praised Azam as one of the world's top batters and highlighted his potential to become one of the greatest in Test cricket. He noted that Azam consistently ranks high and suggested that a break could be beneficial for him. Despite his recent struggles, Pakistan have quickly reassured fans that Babar's international career is far from over.

Masood said he is no one to comment on Babar’s Test future but added that this break from cricket will benefit him.
