NHL Player Safety announced Aaron Ekblad will have a disciplinary hearing for elbowing Brandon Hagel in Monday's Panthers-Lightning game.

Florida Panthers defenseman Aaron Ekblad will have a hearing Tuesday with the NHL Department of Player Safety for elbowing Tampa Bay Lightning forward Brandon Hagel in the head in Game 4 of their series Monday night.

Aaron Ekblad leveled Brandon Hagel with a high hit near the boards midway through the second period, catching the Lightning forward in the head with a forearm. Hagel went down immediately, left the rink, and did not return while no penalty was called on the play.
