Despite the women’s league pulling in more viewership than men’s games and landing billion-dollar expansion deals, players are still earning a fraction of their male counterparts.

A Texas man who sent harassing online messages to basketball superstar Caitlin Clark has been sentenced to serve 2.5 years in prison.

Prosecutors said Lewis sent Clark, 23, more than 800 threatening social media messages between Dec. 12, 2024, and Jan. 11, 2025.
