You probably know this is one of the top attractions in Novi Sad - it is worth it for sure! A very peaceful setting above the Danube, stacked with great restaurants. Full review by Trevon P

Beautiful fortress with a view to the city of Novi Sad and the river Danube. The walk to the fortress is quite steep, not accessible right to the top by the tourist bus, but accessible by car. Sever… Full review by KC_Melbourne
Is there public transportation to enter the fortress? If there is an entry fee, how much is it and if so can credit cards be used? Thanks

Among the busses from Novi Sad are nrs. 3 and 9 from the centre. Alight at the first stop across the bridge. Turn into one of the streets on the side where the bus stops. On the next crossing road stands a church. To its left is a steep cobbled footpath. To its right (some 50 metres) are steps that will meet the footpath halfway up. Alternatively, Walk in the direction in which the bus was driving, pass through the gate and take the first turning right. This access way is not as steep as the footpath and has a somewhat easier going pavement. There is no public transport up to the fortress itself. You might take a cab up. I took one down from the Leopold I hotel to the bus station on the other side of town. Without tip, it cost me 323 dinar (June 2016), that translates into under € 3. There is no fee to enter the fortress itself. The tunnels and the city museum charge admittance. But you do not have to visit those.
