There is Barona Indian Casino near the Sunrise Highway off I-8. that goes into the Forest. If you like quiet go to Julian to a bed and breakfast or Ramona has a motel. Or on the desert side, La Casa del Zoro.in Borrego Springs. Remember this is a National Forest not a Park and it has many different climate/plant zones. Take drinking water with you.no matter what part you are in.
