WEBJul 24, 2011 · It's a .38 Safety Hammerless, 4th Model, sometimes termed a "lemon squeezer." This model was made from 1898 to 1907. That gun is in admirable shape to be 115 years old! It shoots .38 S&W, not .38 Special. That cartridge can still be found at most big box sports stores and via the Internet.
