WEBDec 31, 2022 — The ai was pretty good too and actually kills them unlike a lot of games from that era. Plus grenades in brothers in arms 3 are great. Usually they do bugger all in single player titles of that era but in this game a well placed grenade will either suppress the enemy almost fully or take out an entire group of them.

WEBRepublic commando is good and difficult. There’s the metro games with solid gun play. Not many weapons and heavy story. Borderlands games ofc. Dusk is a doom variant if you like those. Prey is really good but it’s a much slower game then you’re probably looking for. Sniper ghost warrior games if you wanna snipe.

I like Onward, which si something like Sandstorm on PC, mil sim, but not too much - it kinda needs some VR legs Pavlov Shack is decent (its free) if you want play counter-strike like matches with bots (or real ppl in multiplayer)

WEBFeb 25, 2021 — Old ass thread but I saw someone replied a few days ago, so figured I'd recommend a couple tactical single player games. Conflict Desert Storm is very old but a lot of fun, also the Brothers in Arms series. Metal Gear Solid V is very fun/tactical on higher difficulties with great customization and I think there's an FPS mod too.

Single Player: Borderlands 2 (does have multiplayer tho), Halo Infinite (Though the MCC is overall better with more content, but it's more linear), GTAV, and Red Dead Redemption 2 (While immaculate games, they were primarily designed as third person shooters, but they also have good first person shooting).
