Pietta's line are all built on the same base 1851 frame. Whether .36 or 44, the lock works are all the same, with parts that interchange with some minor fitting. I like Pietta Cap Gun.

WEBApr 12, 2021 · There seems to be a whole lot of Colt reproduction cap & ball revolvers that are/were "made" to accept a shoulder-stock, and yet there are very few (if any?) actual shoulder stocks available. I own a third generation (signature series) Colt 1861 Navy that has the frame-cuts and extra large frame screws for mounting a shoulder stock.

WEBJun 11, 2019 · My NIB Uberti 1861 Navy, manufactured 1969, has cylinder chambers at .377". Hornady swaged round ball, .375" diameter, drops straight to bottom of chamber. Chamber mouths are slightly "chamferred". Looks like the factory used a course grinding ball, instead of a cutter on the chamfer. Diameters measured via ball gauge and caliper.
